eBay Invites SellyourCell to Rethink

Sellyourcell.com to Partner with eBay's Rethink Initiative

In January, 2005 eBay launched it's Rethink Initiative to bring together technology companies, government agencies, environmental groups and millions of eBay users to address the growing e-waste problem.

Sellyourcell.com is pleased to announce it has recently reached an agreement to partner with eBay in this important recycling initiative. SellyourCell.com joins an impressive membership roll which includes

Motorola, Nokia, Apple Computer, Dell, CollectiveGood Foundation, CTIA-The Wireless Foundation, HP, International Association of Electronics Recyclers, IBM, The Wireless Foundation, UPS, USPS and Verizon Wireless.

According to Cathy Siciliano, Director of eBay's Cell Phone and Portable Electronic Devices, "wireless devices, including cell phones, are one of the most commonly replaced and upgraded consumer electronics products, but individuals and businesses are often at a loss when it comes to getting rid of such items in environmentally sound ways. Through Rethink, we want consumers to know that the industry has created a wealth of methods for them to dispose of those items responsibly, including finding new users for such goods."

The ReThink page can be found here on eBay's site.
