Save a Wet Cellphone

Just dropped your cell phone in a sink full of water? Well, there may be a way to salvage your phone. Immediately turn the cell phone off and remove the battery - DO NOT TURN YOUR PHONE BACK ON. Dry it off as much as possible. You can do this manually or in a slightly heated oven on a safe surface. Put the phone and battery in a dry, warm spot with good ventilation. Let the parts dry for at least 2 days. Now you can re-insert the battery and make a test call.

This does not always work, but it's always worth a try.
