New 3G iPhone is not the best iSecret
3G iPhone on the horizon? While most industry "experts" expect Apple's Steve Jobs to unveil the next-generation iPhone on June 9, no one can seem to agree on what it's latest and greatest features will be. The only feature that seems to stand out is "more iPhone" in other words, faster, stronger, able to store more.
More than a few rumors are circulating around this new release, or iPhone 2.0, but I'm not sure how to decipher them. They include:
3G.
WiMAXX.
2 video cameras for iChat and AOL IM.
True GPS.
Longer battery life.
Replaceable battery.
Slimmer form factor.
5GB camera that lets you not only take stills and shoot video, but send it directly to flickr, YouTube, etc.
The ability to buy things from iTunes (Music, TV shows, Movies, Podcasts, Books) from the road and away from hotspots.
Flash for web browsing.
Full integration with AppleTV so you can use it for a remote control and viewing of your AppleTV purchases and possibly recordings.
Full integration with "Back to my Mac" so you could essentially use it as a remote for your computer at home or office.
Opening of the iPhone application store with hundreds (to be thousands) of Apple-approved third-party apps to make your iPhone do just about anything you could want.
Google immersion...full Google support with specialized applications.
Mobile office capabilities.
Full enterprise support including full email and message "push"
And so on, and so forth...
What do you think will be in the new iPhone 2.0? What do you think SHOULD be there?
When you get your new 3G iPhone 2.0, don't forget to recycle your old phone (iPhone or otherwise) at www.SellyourCell.com; your wallet and the earth will be glad you did!
