First New MotoRAZR2 2 be Released Soon

Several carriers are poised to release the newest member of Motorola’s MotoRazr family. It's been 2 (yes, there's a theme) years since the original, and now the long-awaited MotoRazr2 is scheduled for release this week by Sprint Nextel. Verizon Wireless and AT&T will be following with a MotoRazr2 in the coming weeks. The CDMA2000 1x EV-DO device is 2mm thinner, includes a 2-megapixel camera, 2 gigabytes of onboard memory and a wide-range of messaging options. Additional features for Sprint Nextel and Verizon include an ARM11 processor that's at least 2x as fast as the original Razr, access to their online music and content services and clearer voice quality via Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology.

The original MotoRazr gained a prominent place in the marketplace well over 2 years ago. Since that time it has been a strong performer for all carriers. Newer devices have caused a slow but steady shift away from the Razr but it is likely that this next generation will reclaim many of the original Razr fans.

THE LIFECYCLE OF A CELLPHONE

Early in it’s release most people are excited about the possibility of a new cell phone. We look at it’s features and style and compare with the cell phones our friends are carrying. Or, we look to change or upgrade our service provider and review with great anticipation the possibility of getting even more functionality than we can imagine for either free or a greatly reduced price

Then new technology gets released. Once again we look for the possibility of increasing the number of features and functions we have available to us. Some of us will wait until our current contract expires and the carrier is willing to offer another great deal. Some of us are early adopters and will upgrade frequently to make sure we are always on the cutting edge. Either way, that once exciting cell phone goes the way of technology and it no longer valuable to us.

The good news is that there is still value in that original cell phone. Visit us at SellyourCell.com to check the monetary value of your used cell phone.

Amp’d Mobile Customers

Reportedly on July 27, 2007 a text message was send to Amp’d Mobile customers alerting them of the imminent discontinuance of service. No doubt these customers were surprised and more tan a little unsure of what would happen next.

Well, it looks like Prexar Mobile has signed an agreement to take over the Amp’d Mobile customers. Amp’d Mobile customers wishing to transfer service, without interruption, will need to act fast – as early as August 1, 2007. Customers who miss this deadline MAY still be able to transfer service, but the specifics are not yet clear.

Given all the uncertainty around this, SellyourCell.com has temporarily suspended accepting Amp’d Mobile units. Once more information is available, we may be able to resume accepting these units. Please keep an eye on our Blog for additional information.
